This mosaic community project took place at Temple Emeth in Brookline, MA.
A similar project took place at the same place in 2011
Vitreous tiles, ceramic tiles, stained glass, old jewelry pieces, and glass gems on Hardibacker (16” x 14” approximately)
All tiles, classified by color and cut in different shapes, ready to use
Participants age ranged from 5 to 12 years old and they laid out tiles on the mosaic on a drop-in basis for various periods of time, some worked for 5 minutes, others worked for 15 minutes or more (overall, 1.5 to 2 hours of tile setting)
Grouting by Chromatile
